Dr. Kelly attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science followed by a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine—Go Vols! After completing veterinary school, she moved to Northern Virginia where she worked for several years before eventually meeting Dr. Blake. They married and moved from Virginia to North Carolina where they together established Sherrills Ford Animal Hospital.
With a strong interest in abdominal ultrasonography, Dr. Kelly pursued specialized certifications from respected institutions such as the WVC Academy and Academy of Veterinary Imaging. She is dedicated to leveraging advanced imaging techniques to provide precise diagnoses and tailored treatment plans for her patients.
Additionally, Dr. Kelly has a strong interest in ophthalmology and has taken numerous continuing education courses across the country on this topic. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and feels strongly about making each visit as comfortable as possible for every patient as well as their families. Being very detail oriented, she will also assure all of your questions and concerns are answered regarding your pet’s care.
Outside of work, Dr. Kelly enjoys staying active with barre classes, indulging her passion for baking, and spending quality time with her husband, two young children and household pets.
